The Best Put Together Hull We Have Ever Had in the Yard
I just wanted to thank you for all of the time you have spent on the phone with me answering questions about my boat both before and after the purchase. Even though I purchased the boat from a broker and you made no money on the deal, you have never failed to answer or return a phone call. I have dealt with many production boat builders over the years and I can tell you that none of them ever did this, let alone for a second-hand broker purchase!
I took the boat in to the best repair yard in the area to oversee some projects I had done to the boat. This yard deals with a lot of boats by high end, well-known manufacturers. The owner of the yard told me, and I quote, "That is the best put together hull we have ever had in the yard...It is an absolute beast....I know by the design of the hull and what we have seen of it you are going to be pleased, especially when you get into some bad stuff off shore."
This past weekend we went off shore and ran to a few oil rigs off the Mississippi Gulf Coast. On our way back in we were caught in a severe thunder storm with winds that were recorded between 50 and 60 mph. The seas rose to 5 to 8 feet. The Gulf is very much like a washing machine in terms of wave production in our area. These were extreme conditions. 7 and 8 foot waves with white caps on top of them in very close intervals. I have been on many different boats. Various catamarans and some of the" big name" 24 degree dead rise hull production boats. I have never experienced the ride quality we had on the Ocean Master. I have heard from others that your boat has the strongest hull there is. I have heard from others as well about the sea handling capabilities. Sometimes I know boat owners will exaggerate. I can say now that we drove through these seas at a speed between 22 to 26 mph. The feel on the deck was incredible. So much so that my wife after running for 12 miles in it said she was glad it happened. It was a total secure stabile feel that left me in awe of the boat's ability to handle bad sea conditions.
